Update
More of the same this evening as dry mid upper level high pressure
ridge remains over the region with surface high pressure to the
north keeping the easterly flow in place. Winds will diminish
overnight with skies remaining mostly clear. For Saturday it
looks like another mainly sunny, hot and dry day with temperatures
climbing back into the middle 90s away from the coast, with upper
80s to around 90 along the coast as the west coast sea breeze
should develop. Overall the current forecast looks good with no
major changes needed.

Aviation
Vfr conditions are expected through the period. Easterly winds at
8 to 12 knots will diminish later this evening and overnight then
increase again during Saturday morning. May see a shift to
northerly at srq during the mid to late afternoon Saturday as
west coast sea breeze tries to develop.

Marine high pressure to the north will keep a predominant
easterly wind flow in place through the next several days. We will
continue to see easterly surges for the next couple of nights,
but Saturday night should be the last night that speeds could
reach exercise caution levels, then winds lighten up some for
Sunday into next week. No other marine impacts expected.

discussion...

persistent upper ridging and broad surface high pressure remains in
control over florida for the next several days with no rain in
sight. No real change can be seen until the end of next week when
the ridge flattens out and shifts slightly to the south. As we
have seen the past several days, temperatures will quickly heat up
with highs expected in the low to mid 90's each day with the
coastal areas remaining slightly cooler where a minimal sea
breeze develops.

Fire weather...

hot and dry conditions along with high dispersions can be expected
for the next several days. Minimum relative humidity values will
bottom out between 35 and 45 percent each afternoon with no red flag
conditions anticipated. No significant fog is expected.

NOTE: East coast views moved to GEOS-16. They are experimental and not well supported by NOAA so they may not be correct so be warned. This change required redoing a large amount of the GOES code. If the image you are expecting is not showing, please let me know. You may need to use the EDIT function to update your location.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
