309 pm est Tue feb 20 2018

Short term (tonight-Wednesday)
Mid upper level ridging will hold over the southeast u.S. With
surface high pressure out in the atlantic ocean stretching west
into the region. This will continue the east to southeast low
level flow with warm and dry weather and temperatures more typical
of early may. Some patchy fog and low clouds could develop late
tonight into Wednesday morning, otherwise partly cloudy skies are
expected. Temperatures will fall into the mid 60s to around 70
tonight and then climb back to near record highs in the 80s,
possibly 90 at a few inland locations.

Mid term long term (Wednesday night-Tuesday)
A highly amplified upper level pattern continues over the u.S.

Troughing dominates the western half of the country while strong
persistent ridging remains over the east coast. The upper high
sits off the carolina coast and ridges southwest over florida and
into the gulf of mexico. This pattern will hold strong until
Sunday when a trough moves through the great lakes region. This
will cause a slight weakness and shift to the south with the ridge
by the beginning of next week. On the surface, strong high
pressure near bermuda ridges west-southwest over florida and into
the gulf of mexico. This will remain until Sunday when the
trailing edge of a weak cold front approaches the area from the
west and washes out over northern florida. The high will remain
strong enough to keep any effects of this front well to our north
keeping mostly rain-free conditions through the entire long term
period. With no real change in the synoptic pattern, there will
not be any cool down through the period. Temperatures will remain
well average through the remainder of february, which will likely
end up making this one of the warmest february's on record.

Aviation
Vfr conditions should prevail through early tonight, then some
areas of MVFR local ifr ceilings could develop and continue into
Wednesday morning. Southeast winds will persist, except shifting
to southwest for a few hours at srq this afternoon as the west
coast sea breeze tries to develop.

Marine
High pressure will continue to ridge west from the atlantic ocean
with southeast winds at around 15 knots or less across the waters.

The sea breeze will struggle to develop the next couple of
afternoons and remain along the coast Wednesday afternoon, then
with lighter flow we'll see better chances Thursday through the
weekend.

Fire weather
There will be adequate low level moisture through to preclude any
low relative humidity concerns. East and southeast winds at modest
speeds will prevail but somewhat robust transport winds will result
in high dispersions Wednesday and Thursday. Patchy fog will be
possible during the next couple of nights, especially across the
nature coast.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
