area forecast discussion... Updated
national weather service melbourne fl
949 pm est Thu nov 23 2017

Discussion
Tonight... Light showers continue across east central fl mainly in
association with a front slowly advancing southward over the
peninsula. Coverage is expected to gradually decrease through the
overnight hours, beginning over the interior but keeping categorical
pops for the offshore marine zones. Shallow cooler air advancing in
from the north will allow for low-level stratus and possibly areas
of fog to develop through sunrise along the i-4 corridor and as far
south as melbourne. As a result, low temperatures will be slightly
cooler in the low to mid 60s across the area.

Friday (modified prev)... The trough aloft extending well southward
into the gulf of mexico will slowly translate eastward while
gradually filling. At the surface, low pressure should become
dominant in the atlantic to our northeast, which will cause the slow
moving frontal boundary to continue to sag southward. Lowest pops
over the northern interior (30-40%), increasing southward to 60% for
the treasure coast.

Aviation Ifr conditions expected for interior terminals and
kdab ktix kmlb with low ceilings and the possibility for fog
development through the overnight hours due to shallow cool air
behind a slow moving cold front. Isolated showers linger ahead of
the front, especially along the coast. MVFR conditions return
after sunrise.

Marine
Tonight-Friday (modified prev)... A frontal boundary will sag
slowly through the waters from about canaveral northward tonight,
then should reach down to the treasure coast Fri afternoon. Models
show a slight northerly wind surge in the northern waters late
tonight or early fri. Deteriorating boating conditions early fri
morning, with small craft advisory for northern waters beginning
4am. The southern waters actually look good for boating, though
the weather will be poor with scattered to numerous showers.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
