Update
Clouds this morning should quickly mix out as 12z tbw
sounding shows drier air above 1500 feet. Plenty of thin
cirrus clouds will traverse the skies today, but these will
do little to prevent the Sun from baking our region today.

High temperature records will likely fall, including tampa
where the record high is 91 last set in 1991.

Gusty winds from the southeast will try to turn onshore near
the coast this afternoon. Our current best guess is that
around 3 pm or so, the immediate coast/beaches will see
winds turn onshore, but areas east of i-75 should stay
southeast to south will little relief from the heat.

Tweaks were made to the point and clicks on the web, but no
text updates are required at this time.

We have included a climate section (below) to include record
and normal high temperatures for this afternoon. This
information is also available on our website under news
headlines.

Aviation
Thin stratus is resulting in some MVFR ceilings this morning.

This should quickly clear around 14z. Otherwise,VFR
conditions with gusty southeast to southerly winds.

Marine
Winds should remain near or below 15 knots today with the
exception of right along the coast where daytime heating
and a struggling sea breeze could enhance wind speeds some.

An easterly surge will arrive this evening and bring winds
into the 15 to 20 knot range overnight. There could be a
brief period of winds at or above 20 knots, and will
evaluate the need for small craft advisories later today.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
