Discussion
Today... A surface low pressure was located early this morning over
eastern north carolina with a cold front extending south between
south florida and the bahamas. As this front keeps moving east, a
high pressure over the gulf coast will push east as well, taking
control of the weather locally. Winds will remain from the north,
bringing dry and cold air from the continental u.S. To the florida
peninsula. This will keep highs today from the low to mid 60s north
of brevard osceola while the treasure coast will reach near 70.

For tonight, the high pressure will be over the southeast u.S.

Allowing for winds to start a gradual shift from the northeast.

However, models indicate that over land winds will decrease and
remain from the north, bringing south cool, dry, continental air
that will allow for another cold morning with lows ranging from the
mid 40s across lake and interior volusia to mid 50s for the treasure
coast.

Weekend... An expansive area of high pressure extending from ms
river delta to the mid atlc coast early Sat will stretch seaward
over the WRN atlc basin through Sunday. Local winds will slowly
veer increasingly onshore with a moderating trend to temperatures.

Sct to occasionally broken marine strato CU clouds will be ushered
ashore which will mitigate temperature recovery somewhat during
the period at the coast. The airmass will remain too dry however
to support pcpn, and temperatures starting in the 40s to m50s sat
morning will warm to the 50s to l60s by Sunday morning. Daytime
highs in the 70s Saturday will correspondingly warm to the l80s
Sunday.

Next week... A somewhat zonal ua pattern over the eastern CONUS to
start the holiday week is advertised to become broadly cyclonic as
wave energy from the northern stream makes in roads across the
upr ms valley. Resulting height falls begin to manifest over the
tn valley and SE states into late week with sfc low pressure development
hinted over the central gulf west of the peninsula around Thu fri.

A somewhat uncertain forecast with regard to potential rain chcs
wl result with any mentionable rain chances muted and largely
confined to the atlc waters for the extended period. Temperatures
should be mainly above seasonal normals.

Aviation Low stratus clouds moving south over the florida
peninsula have been affecting some of the northern sites this
morning and it is expected to dissipate after sunrise. Until then,
tempos with MVFR ifr CIGS will be needed. After this area of
cloudiness dissipates or moves away, clear skies will prevail for
the rest of the day with northerly winds around 10 knots.

Marine
North winds are expected to reach its peak this morning near 20
knots over the atlantic waters of east central florida keeping seas
6 to 7 feet mainly over the gulf stream. Winds will then decrease
later this afternoon to near 15 knots and seas should drop to 6 feet
by early evening. The small craft advisory is currently through 7 pm
but observations and new model will be analyzed to see if it could
be dropped with the afternoon forecast update. For tonight, winds
will turn from from the north-northeast to northeast to near 10
knots and seas subsiding to 2 to 5 feet.

Weekend... Boating conditions largely favorable with lightening
gradient winds ascd with broad high pressure north of the region.

Expect seas around 3 ft near the coast and up to 4-5 ft well
offshore.

Next week... No headlines are anticipated through the holiday with
seas around 3 ft near the coast and up to 4 to 5 ft well offshore.

Winds and seas forecast to increase to at least 5 to 6 ft late in
the week as low pressure moves out of the local area.

Fire weather
Continental flow will bring lower rh in the 30s inland and l40s at
the coast today then moderating on Sat as winds acquire an onshore
component by Sat aftn, and continuing into early next week.
