Aviation
Vfr conditions will prevail through the period with north-
northeast winds less than 10 knots. No other aviation
impacts expected.

Prev discussion issued 850 pm est Tue jan 23 2018
evening update...

a cold front continues to make slow progress across the
southern florida peninsula. The front is gradually
decelerating, leading to a fairly sharp cutoff in cloud
cover north to south. Cooler drier air will advect in behind
the front, with areas along the nature coast falling to
around 40 degrees by sunrise Wednesday. Further south to
i-4, upper 40s to low 50s can be expected. South of i-4
where greater cloud cover is anticipated, lows will
generally only fall into the middle to upper 50s. Shower
activity will generally remain over southeast florida with
dry conditions expected.

Only modest changes were made to the existing forecast. A
combination of recent high resolution and blended models
yielded slightly stronger winds over the offshore waters.

Due to this, a small craft advisory was issued beginning
late tonight and going through at least midday tomorrow.

Otherwise, the forecast is in good shape.

Aviation (00z tafs)...

a cold front continues to move south across the region,
allowing winds to become northerly. WhileVFR conditions
will resume at many area terminals, kpgd south to kfmy krsw
will continue to see periods of ifr ceilings as the front
slows down. This will likely continue through mid morning
Wednesday before gradual improvement.

Marine...

breezy north northeast winds will fill in behind a cold
front as the pressure gradient tightens. This will yield
advisory conditions over the offshore waters, with
cautionary conditions elsewhere. As strong high pressure
builds in north of the waters through the week, expect
periods of cautionary to borderlined advisory conditions,
especially overnight with nocturnal easterly wind surges.

It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
