Short term (tonight - Friday)
Broad surface high pressure centered north of florida will
hold through the rest of the week as hurricane maria lifts
north of the bahamas. Generally easterly flow will continue,
with fairly dry conditions persisting through the rest of
today, with a few isolated showers and storms developing
along the sea breeze during the late afternoon and evening
hours. On Friday, atlantic moisture will advect into the
florida peninsula, allowing for more widespread showers and
storms to develop during the afternoon and evening. Under
continued easterly flow, storms will start to develop over
the interior during the early afternoon, and build west
towards the coast through the late afternoon and early
evening hours.

Temperatures will remain seasonable, with lows tonight
generally in the 70s, and highs on Friday around 90.

Long term (Friday night - Thursday)
An amplified upper air pattern will persist across the conus
during the long term period featuring a deep upper level
trough over the western u.S. And a strong upper level ridge
over the central and eastern u.S.. At the start of the
period a trough axis from jose meandering offshore the new
england coast will extend southwest along the eastern
seaboard and into the northern gulf of mexico while
hurricane maria moves north northwest over the southwest
atlantic east-southeast of the bahamas. Ample moisture
within an increasing easterly wind flow courtesy of a
tightening pressure gradient between high pressure to the
west and maria to the southeast will support scattered to
numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms across the
forecast area during the weekend with the convection
developing over eastern sections during the morning hours
and then moving west toward the coastal areas during the
afternoon and early evening hours. It will become breezy
with east winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph over inland
areas, and 15 to 20 mph with some higher gusts along the
coast.

Aviation
A few showers or thunderstorms will be possible south of
tampa bay along the sea breeze boundary through the rest of
the afternoon, with brief periods of reduced visibilities
and ceilings of around 2500-3000 feet possible.VFR
conditions will then hold after around 02z, and hold through
Friday morning.

Marine
High pressure centered north of florida will continue to
ridge into the gulf of mexico into the weekend, with light
winds and seas continuing outside of daily thunderstorms.

As hurricane maria lifts north of the bahamas this weekend,
it is forecast to stay well away from florida but will
cause the pressure gradient to tighten up across the coastal
waters, bringing winds up to around 15 knots with seas of
as much as 3 feet. High pressure will build back in through
the first half of next week, with benign marine conditions
expected.

Fire weather
No fire weather concerns.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
