convergence and aided by some shortwave energy aloft. Have vcts
and tempo groups for shra ongoing for lch and bpt for the next
several hours. Holding off on tempo groups for lft, ara and aex

weather around the nation... Storms over the plains states and
into the new england states as a cold front pushes out of the
upper plains and into the ohio valley. Temperatures are in the
mid 40s over the dakota's with 60s in the great lakes region and
the new england states... 70s down towards missouri valley
region.

Like usual our summertime pattern is continuing this am with dew
points in the mid 70s and temps in the upper 70s now that we are
officially into fall. High pressure continues to ridge across the
northern gulf and into texas and louisiana with radar indicating
activity along the coast from jefferson and orange counties in
southeast texas to vermilion bay in south central louisiana.

The sounding from last night saw precip water above two inches. By
this afternoon CAPE is expected to approach 2000 j kg W li's
around -3 and the LCL and LFC around 885 mbs. An upper level trof
at 700 mb is hanging down from the great lakes region into texas
with moisture piling up along the front of the trof. With
southerly winds and deep layer of moisture looking at another
round of storms on tap today. These storms will produce cloud to
ground lightning along with heavy rains at times.

A weak cool front will move down and towards the coast late
Wednesday and this will see an increase of showers and
thunderstorms into Thursday as the front is expected to stall near
the coast. The front looks to fall apart late Thursday into Friday
morning. Heavier rains will produce some minor flooding in low
lying areas as the ground remains very wet. Chances for storms
will continue into the weekend before tapering off next week.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
