Frost expected inland tonight...

Near term through Saturday ...

high pressure will build to the west then northwest through tonight,
then to the north on Saturday. The northwest flow will continue
tonight, with another cold night anticipated. With light winds and
clear skies tonight, readings could be nearly as cold tonight as
this morning. Therefore, planning to forecast under numerical
guidance. So, potential for frost, and with the lighter winds
this potential increases. Inland frost advisory for tonight.

With the high to the north on Saturday, the flow will trend toward
onshore with weak inverted troughing developing. Sunny skies will
prevail inland, but partly cloudy skies are expected near the coast
in the afternoon. Highs Saturday will recover, but remain a little
below seasonal averages.

Short term Saturday night through Tuesday ...

high pressure will be to the north through Sunday night, with an
inverted coastal trough developing in the onshore flow pattern. This
trough will produce cloud cover for eastern counties through Sunday
night, along with the potential for coastal showers. Nocturnal
temperatures this period will be warmest near the NE fl coast due to
onshore flow, while readings inland will be as much as 10 degrees
cooler. Daytime highs this period will be near seasonal levels. The
trough will move off to the east Monday as high pressure builds to
the northwest Monday night into Tuesday.

Long term Tuesday night through Friday ...

strong high pressure will build to the north Tuesday night into
Wednesday, leading to an enhanced onshore flow. An inverted trough
is expected to develop in this flow, which would further enhance
this flow and provide for mainly coastal clouds and showers into
Wednesday night. Potential for a low to move out of the gulf and
provide additional precipitation late in the period. Temperatures
are expected to be near seasonal averages this period.

Marine

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
