Update
Mid to upper level trough extends from the mid atlantic southwest
to east central tx with only a few high cirrus pushing through
the local area. Cold air sfc high pressure system across the deep
south will only slowly move east through Saturday with freezing
temps still at about 830 am. Hard freeze warning set to expire
soon as temps warm under sunny skies today and light winds. Jax
sounding shows very dry airmass with pwat of 0.22 inches
(indicative of arctic type air) and warm air aloft that is about
20 deg cooler than the sfc. Only slight changes to the forecast
today to nudge MAX temps a bit up based on latest guidance. Highs
from about 55-60... With highs possibly above 60 across the far
srn zones.

No big change in the low temps for tonight Saturday morning.

Light calm winds, mostly clear skies with only a few cirrus clouds
will enable excellent radiational cooling. Expecting a light
freeze inland with widespread frost.

Aviation
Vfr with clear skies. A fairly large number of prescribed burns
may lead to very localized and brief smoke haze.

Marine
Strong high pressure centered over the gulf coast region will
continue to slowly move east the next couple of days. Winds will
be somewhat variable but generally 10 kts or less through the
weekend. Seas mainly dominated by swells with periods of 10
seconds. Only slight change upward for seas in forecast grids for
the nearshore waters otherwise no changes in the update.

Rip currents: low risk today given decreasing surf height and
light mostly offshore flow. Low risk expected this weekend.

Fire wx
Low humidities today in the middle 20 percent range. Very low low
dispersions and light winds transport winds today and Saturday as
well, especially over northeast fl.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
