the 00z aviation discussion follows... .
a stationary front at the surface (nw kmlc-kadh-kadm-se ksps) will
move little through the period. Scattered showers thunderstorms
will continue near this front. A few showers may also occur in
northern oklahoma, near an upper-level wave over kansas.
Elsewhere in oklahoma north texas, a rather chaotic moisture
pattern will result in highly variable ceilings through at least
Wednesday morning. Breaks in the clouds over western oklahoma
toward sunrise could result in patches of dense fog, but
confidence in fog forecasts is not very high. A gradual
improvement is expected over most of the region during the day
tomorrow... But much of the region will remain under MVFR ceilings.

overall most of the precipitation from this morning has moved
north and east of the area or dissipated. Meanwhile, a few
isolated storms are moving northeast across western north texas
and far southern oklahoma. As heating continues, at least|
scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop through the
evening, mainly near and ahead of a cold front. MUCAPE values
range from about 750-1000 j kg ahead of the front (or wind shift),
which roughly extends from seminole to pauls valley to duncan and
wichita falls. Deep layer shear will support a few strong to
severe storms through the early to mid evening with a decrease in
storm intensity through the mid evening hours. Heavy rainfall
rates are likely with the stronger storms which may cause some
Rain and storm chances will remain rather high across far
southern oklahoma and parts of western north texas through at
least Wednesday night. The potential for flooding rainfall may
increase across south central and southeast oklahoma Wednesday
afternoon and night, as an upper low tracks across northern texas.
After midday Thursday, most of the rain will end across the
southern plains, as the trough finally moves east of the area.
A couple of fast moving shortwave troughs will move across the
northern and central plains over the weekend. Better rain and
storm chances with these features should remain north of oklahoma.
Another system will approach oklahoma and northern texas around
Tuesday of next week. Strong to severe storms may develop ahead of

The information on this web site has not been checked for accuracy. It is for entertainment purposes only and should be independently verified before using for any other reason. There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
