Synopsis
A warm front will approach from the southwest tonight and
Friday and will gradually push east of the region Friday night.

A slow moving cold front will cross the region Saturday through
Saturday night. High pressure will build in from the west Sunday
through Monday and will slide offshore on Tuesday. A cold front
will move in from the west Tuesday night and will cross the
region on Wednesday. High pressure will build in behind the
front Wednesday night through Thursday.

Near term through tonight
Clouds will be on the increase overnight as a warm front
approaches from the southwest. Clouds will lower and thicken
after midnight and showers will push into new hampshire toward
daybreak. Low temperatures will range through the 50s across
most of the forecast area.

Short term Friday through Friday night
Rain will overspread the forecast area from west to east Friday
morning. Increasing onshore flow ahead of the warm front will
bring ocean stratus into a good portion of the forecast area in
the afternoon. Although instability will be on the increase to
the west of the forecast area during the afternoon... Extensive
marine layer will inhibit any convection across the region with
the possible exception of extreme southwest new hampshire where
a few cells may hold together long enough to produce a few
rumbles. Highs Friday will range from the mid 60s to mid 70s.

Warm front will gradually push east through the region Friday
night. Expect steadier rain to gradually taper to showers from
west to east overnight. Rainfall amounts will generally add up
to a half to three quarters of an inch across the region. Lows
will range from the mid 50s north to the mid 60s south.

Long term Saturday through Thursday
Precipitation associated with the warm front will be mainly east
of the region by Saturday morning... However humid air will
remain across the region during the day Saturday as a cold front
approaches from the west. Temperatures Saturday will warm from
the mid 70s in the mountains to the mid 80s across southern
areas under partly cloudy skies. This will allow scattered
showers and thunderstorms to develop Saturday afternoon with the
greatest threat over western maine... With somewhat of a lesser
threat across new hampshire.

The front will cross the region Saturday night with less humid
air expected during the day Sunday. High temps Sunday will again
range from the mid 70s to mid 80s. Temperatures will gradually
become warmer Monday and Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure
approaches the area and then moves offshore. By Tuesday... High
temps will be mainly in the 80s across the region with southern
new hampshire and extreme southwestern maine approaching 90.

A cold front will cross the region Wednesday or Wednesday night
bringing a threat of showers and thunderstorms. Fair weather
with cooler temperatures will follow the front for Thursday.

Aviation 18z Thursday through Tuesday
Short term...VFR tonight. Ifr lifr ceilings develop on Friday
and will persist through Friday night.

Long term... Some improvement expected Saturday morning with
MVFR to ifr conditions developing. However... Ifr conditions
are possible in afternoon thunderstorms.VFR conditions
expected Sunday through Tuesday with fog possible in the favored
valleys.

Marine
Short term... Continuing sca's for seas through 800 pm. High surf
advisory will also be continued through the same time period.

Long term... Sca's may be needed on the outer waters Saturday
into Sunday... Otherwise winds and seas expected to be below sca
criteria.

Gyx watches warnings advisories
Me... High surf advisory until 8 pm edt this evening for mez025>027.

Nh... None.

Marine... Small craft advisory for hazardous seas until 8 pm edt this
evening for anz150-152.

It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
