Synopsis High pressure building over the region will provide dry
weather through Tuesday. Residual moisture will produce some morning
fog or low clouds the next couple days. A weak front will move
through the area Wednesday with some spotty light rain. Dry weather
returns Thursday and should prevail through the weekend.

Short term High pressure will build north over the region through
Tuesday providing dry and mild weather. Stable conditions and
residual low level moisture will result in some late night and
morning fog across the lowlands. Satellite imagery and obs indicate
some low clouds around the area this morning. This will mix out by
late morning with afternoon sunshine the next couple days. High
temperatures should run slightly above average, mainly in the lower
60s.

A decaying front will push southeast across the area on Wednesday.

Recent model runs have trended toward a weaker system with marginal
moisture and lift. Rain should be spotty and quite light, probably
less than a tenth for most locations. Kept pops limited to chance
category.

Long term The GFS ecwmf are in agreement in building a strong
ridge of high pressure over the region Thursday through the weekend.

This will provide a longer stretch of dry weather and mostly clear
skies. There may be some patchy morning fog in prone spots,
otherwise sunny skies and near average temperatures are expected.

Mercer

Hydrology All area rivers are now below flood stage, and levels
will continue falling today. The last of the flood warnings for the
snohomish, snoqualmie, and cowlitz rivers will be ended early this
morning. Dry weather is expected through next weekend, except for a
little light rain on Wednesday. Amounts will be too light to have
any affect on rivers. New flooding is not expected the next 7 days.

Aviation An upper level ridge building over the pacnw will
produce moderate westerly flow aloft through tonight. The air mass
has been gradually drying especially at mid and upper levels, but
the lower air mass is still moist enough from the recent rains that
patchy ifr fog or low stratus will continue through around 18z
Monday. Otherwise conditions will beVFR.

Ksea... A bkn017 layer has formed at ksea at 08z which supports a bkn-
ovc low stratus layer 12z-17z. Other stations around the local area
also have low level moisture producing some low stratus.

Surface winds will be SE 3-5kt this morning becoming N this
afternoon. Kam

Marine A surface ridge building over W wa will produce
weak offshore flow today through Tuesday.

Westerly swell 10 to 14 feet this morning, generated by recent
storms, will gradually subside through this evening, falling below
10 feet after midnight. A SCA for hazardous seas will continue
through this evening.

A weak cold front will move southeast across the area on Wednesday,
with small craft advisory winds over the coastal waters and in the
strait of juan de fuca. Northerly offshore flow will follow the
front Thursday and Friday as a ridge builds over southern british
columbia. Kam

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
