UPDATE. Updated for 00Z aviation discussion

AVIATION. 00Z TAF discussion: VFR conditions through the period with light winds, with some variability overnight, but mainly out of the north.

DISCUSSION. Tonight and tomorrow .

The rest of today will remain clear and cool. Obs show temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, which is in line with the current forecast. Tonight, light winds and clear skies will allow conditions to be favorable for maximum overnight cooling. Tonight's lows may dip into the upper 40s, especially in our NE counties. In the morning, patchy fog will be possible for some areas near bodies of water. Tomorrow, we will remain under a weakening trough, which will keep conditions sunny and dry. The once cool, northerly air flow should begin to dissipate as easterly flow begins to take over. This will allow temperatures to reach the upper 70s to lower 80s. /AJ/

Tomorrow night through Wednesday .

By Friday night, midlevel easterly flow will dominate, limiting the amount of cool air being pushed into the region. This will assist in the warming pattern over the next couple of days, where we will reach near normal temperatures. Dry air will remain persistent through the weekend into the beginning of the week as a ridge builds over the region in response to a low stretching across NM/AZ. Eventually, the westward movement of this midlevel low will begin to funnel in moisture, which looks to raise rain chances in the west during midweek. For the rest of the period, highs will range from mid to upper 80s, while overnight lows will be in the mid 50s Friday and Saturday night, then warm to low 50s to mid 60s on Sun-Tues night. /AJ/
