Synopsis For Keys Coastal Waters From Ocean Reef To Dry Tortugas 1035 Am Est Sun Feb 16 2020
Synopsis...a high pressure cell centered off the carolinas this morning will weaken as it shifts southeastward through tonight. A larger, continental high pressure system will expand and intensify over the western north atlantic Monday through Tuesday, resulting in freshening east to southeast breezes across florida keys coastal waters. This system then will shift southeastward and weaken Wednesday and Wednesday night. A cold front at the leading edge of an arctic high pressure area will advance southeastward, and likely will reach florida keys coastal waters Thursday night or Friday. The approximate shoreward edge of the gulf stream as of february 15... 14 nm south of dry tortugas light...on loggerhead key. 14 nm south of cosgrove shoal light...off the marquesas keys. 9 nm south of sand key light...off key west. 15 nm south of looe key...off big pine key. 9 nm south of sombrero key light...off marathon. 1 nm southeast of alligator reef light...off islamorada. 5 nm southeast of molasses reef light...off key largo. 6 nm east of carysfort reef light...off ocean reef.
