synopsis for the southern california coast and santa barbara channel including the channel islands national marine sanctuary and national park...at 15z, or 8 am pdt, a 1028 mb high was centered 900 nm west of point conception. A 1005 mb low was centered in southern nevada. Strong to gale force winds and dangerous choppy seas will affect the waters through the weekend.
