Synopsis for eastern north carolina coastal waters.. High pressure over the southeast pushes offshore later today and gradually moves further into the atlantic on Saturday. A strong cold front will cross the region late Sunday bringing the potential for gale force southerly winds and dangerous seas. High pressure will build back into the area next week allowing much more benign marine conditions to resume.
