Synopsis for the southern oregon coastal waters..High pressure offshore and a thermal trough near the coast will result in north winds strengthening into this evening. Steep seas persist south of cape blanco this morning. Steep seas then expand across all of the waters this afternoon through tonight, except for very steep seas developing south of gold beach with gale force gusts possible. Conditions improve Thursday as the thermal trough pushes farther inland. A seasonably strong cold front is expected Friday night with seas likely becoming steep.
