A fresh to strong northwest to north breeze will develop behind this passing front, producing hazardous boating conditions across the waters, with seas building through tonight. North to northeast winds will gradually diminish through tomorrow, but continue to produce poor to hazardous boating conditions through at least Friday night.
Gulf stream hazards - Northwest winds increasing to 20 to 25 knots, with occasional gusts to 35 knots late this afternoon into the overnight hours. Seas building up to 6 to 10 feet this afternoon into the overnight hours.

DISCUSSION
Current-Tonight...A cold front has moved south of the Treasure Coast this afternoon with gusty northerly winds developing behind the boundary. No mentionable precip is forecast into the evening as a dry airmass quickly builds in its wake. Scattered cloud cover will continue to clear from north to south with clear skies forecast area wide tonight. Low temperatures will fall into the low to mid 50s across the interior with mid to upper 50s along the coast.
Friday...Surface high pressure moves across the state towards the western Atlantic. North winds around 10 mph slowly veer east into the night. A very dry post frontal airmass settles across east central Florida with modeled PWATs between 0.3-0.6". Below seasonal high temperatures are forecast with values ranging the low 70s (north) to upper 70s (south).
Saturday-Sunday...Ridging in the mid-levels will persist through the weekend, with the associated area of high pressure at the surface forecast to move southeastward toward the peninsula on Saturday before sliding eastward across the western Atlantic on Sunday. A dry airmass will remain in place across east central Florida, with PWATs generally 0.5" on Saturday. Minimum RH values will remain 30 to 40 percent across the area. Northeast winds will gradually veer throughout the day Saturday, becoming southeasterly overnight. By Sunday, winds across the area will be southerly, with a slightly more moist airmass being advected northward. Overall, PWATs will remain below 1" on Sunday, and minimum RH values will only increase 5 to 10 percent. There are no mentionable PoPs currently forecast this weekend. Temperatures will follow a warming trend this weekend, with highs on Saturday in the upper 70s to low 80s increasing into the low to mid 80s on Sunday. Overnight lows will generally be in the mid 50s to low 60s both nights.
Monday-Thursday...The mid-level ridge is forecast to remain in place Monday and Tuesday before gradually weakening Wednesday into Thursday as a mid-level trough moves across the southeastern US. At the surface, the high pressure will remain over the western Atlantic, with the ridge axis gradually moving southward Monday and Tuesday. Conditions are forecast to remain mostly dry. By Wednesday, a cold front will move towards the Florida peninsula, leading to increasing rain chances Wednesday afternoon into the overnight hours (30 to 50 percent). Isolated storms may be possible. By Thursday, rain chances fall to just around 20 percent, and will continue to diminish into Thursday night.
The main concern early next week will warming temperatures, as afternoon highs on Monday and Tuesday climb into the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday. Some places may even reach into the low 90s on Tuesday, particularly across the interior. Areas along the coast will generally be in the mid 80s Monday and in the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday. On Wednesday, as the front begins approaching, temperatures will gradually cool behind the front, with areas north and west of the I-4 corridor in the low 80s. Areas ahead of the front will remain in the mid to upper 80s, with heat indices in the upper 80s to low 90s. By Thursday afternoon, temperatures will fall into the mid 70s to low 80s behind the front. Overnight lows in the 60s Monday and Tuesday night will decrease into the mid 50s to low 60s Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Saturday-Tuesday...Poor boating conditions will still be present across the offshore waters through Saturday morning, with seas of 4 to 6 feet present. Conditions will improve Saturday afternoon and remain good through Tuesday, with seas generally 2 to 4 feet.
Saturday, onshore winds 5 to 10 knots will veer to out of the south at 10 to 15 knots Saturday evening, remaining mostly southerly through Tuesday. Wind speeds will generally remain between 5 to 15 knots. Dry conditions are forecast through the weekend into early next week as an area of high pressure remains in place across the local Atlantic waters.

Friday...A dry, post frontal airmass will promote fire sensitive conditions on Friday, particularly across the interior. MinRH values fall into the upper 20s to low 30s across the interior while remaining in the upper 30s to low 40s closer to the coast.

Gusts up to 20 mph will be possible across Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast.
Saturday-Sunday (previous modified)...Fire sensitive conditions are expected to continue into the weekend. Winds are forecast to become onshore with light and variable winds well inland Saturday. A very dry post frontal airmass settles across east central Florida with modeled PWATs between 0.3-0.6". Below seasonal high temperatures are forecast with values ranging the low 70s (north) to upper 70s (south).
