MARINE... Issued at 330 AM EST Wed Feb 21 2024 Winds will increase slightly through today, with seas expected to rise to 5 to 7 ft for the outer waters of NE FL in marine zone AMZ474. A small craft advisory will be in place from this morning through Thursday afternoon. High pressure over the local area on Thursday will then move east ahead of an approaching cold front, which will cross our local waters on Friday afternoon and evening, accompanied by showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. A northeast ocean swell will result in building seas on Thursday night and Friday, and strengthening southwesterly winds will combine to produce Small Craft Advisory conditions over the offshore waters later this week. Northwest winds will surge in the wake of the cold frontal passage on Friday night and Saturday. Rip Currents: Moderate rip current risk for NE FL and SE GA beaches through Thursday.
