GMZ800 Synopsis For The Coastal Waters From Bonita Beach To Suwannee River- 1021 Am Est Mon Jan 20 2020
Synopsis.. Interaction between a cold front over southern florida and strong high pressure over the central u.s. Is producing gusty northerly winds across the eastern gulf of mexico. Have let the sca expire at 10 am, but will continue to hold scec for all waters today and tonight. Onshore wave action will produce a high risk of rip currents at local beaches through the day. The gradient further tightens on Tuesday afternoon between the high pressure over the ohio river valley and a trough of low pressure near the bahamas, which will likely bring conditions back up to sca level continuing through Wednesday afternoon. The high moves off the mid-atlantic coast by Thursday which will bring the winds around to the east and will decrease below any sca or scec level to close out the week.

UPDATE. The trailing edge of the cold front extends across southwest Florida this morning. Areas north of this front are seeing clear skies and much cooler temperatures this morning. Low temps this morning ranged from the mid to upper 30's along the Nature Coast, low to mid 40's for west central Florida and mid 60's along the front over southwest Florida. The front will continue to progress southward through the day with sunny skies prevailing across the Florida peninsula. Temperatures will top out in the upper 50's to low 60's from Tampa Bay northward and mid 60's over southwest Florida. No changes needed to the forecast at this time.

AVIATION. Some MVFR ceilings currently remain at RSW, but should lift over the next hour. VFR conditions expected for the remainder of the period. Winds will remain out of the north around 8-12 knots with some higher gusts through the day, then decreasing less than 10 knots overnight. No other aviation impacts expected.

MARINE.

I do not sell or share any user data or anything else for that matter. There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerous of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
