discussion...

at mid levels through Thu night - ridging extends from the southern
high plains to south-central canada..A low over quebec troughs
across the great lakes... And weak ridging sprawls across fl and the
adjacent waters. At the surface atlantic high pressure ridges west
along latitude 30 north to the northwest gulf coast. An inverted
trough on the south side of this high pressure approaches fl from
the bahamas late thu.

1000-700mb southeast flow with model pwat values around 1.8-2.0
inches continue through tonight then becomes more easterly thu
with slightly lower pwat... 1.6-1.8 inches. This moisture will
support scattered to locally numerous showers and thunderstorms
although with slightly less coverage especially in the north thu.

Timing both days will be late mornings or early afternoons inland
then shifting toward the gulf coast later in the afternoons and
offshore and winding down in the evenings. The copious rainfall of
the past few days has resulted in a quite saturated ground...

maintaining the threat of localized flooding and additional rises
on area rivers.

During Fri through tue: for the weekend the atlantic surface
ridge axis resides across north fl while the inverted trough
tracks across the southern portion of the state and slides out
over the gulf. These features provide an easterly to
southeasterly 1000-700mb flow. Then for early next week a frontal
boundary settles down into the gulf coastal and southeastern
states... Shunting the ridge axis down into central then southern
fl. As a result the 1000-700mb flow turns to the south and
southwest. Sufficient moisture will be in place for scattered to
at times numerous showers and storms. Through most of the weekend
these form inland... Track across the gulf coast in the afternoons
then offshore in the evenings. As the week starts this pattern
switches to morning coastal showers storms that move inland during
the days. Low temperatures will run on the warm side of normal
while the afternoon highs stay within a degree or so of normal.

Marine...

high pressure stays north of the waters through most of the weekend
with prevailing east and southeast winds that shift to onshore in the
afternoons. The high pressure drops across central then southern fl
early next week... Turning the winds to south and southwest. Wind and
seas locally higher near showers and thunderstorms.

Fire weather...

the atmosphere will contain adequate moisture for daily showers and
thunderstorms and to preclude any low rh concerns for the next few
days.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
