Current-Tonight... A deep layer of dry air is in place across east central Florida this afternoon, keeping clear skies with no mentionable precip. West winds have become breezy with peak gusts observed between 25-30 mph at times. The combination of dry and breezy conditions has prompted fire weather concerns, and a Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 6PM. Gusts diminish after sunset, but winds remain around 10 mph overnight as a dry frontal boundary approaches central Florida. Afternoon temperatures touching the 60s quickly cool through the 50s this evening. However, low temperatures will hold warmer than recent nights, mostly ranging the mid to upper 40s.

Saturday-Sunday... The reinforcing front passes central Florida early Saturday with high pressure building quickly behind. North- northwest winds increase to 10-15 mph behind the front, shifting onshore and becoming light on Sunday as the high pressure builds early next week. Dry conditions persist, especially on Saturday, continuing a period of sensitive fire weather. Low temperatures mostly in the mid to upper 40s on Saturday morning dip into the upper 30s to lower 40s across the interior Sunday morning. Highs trend closer to seasonal values spreading the mid 60s to lower 70s each afternoon.

Monday-Thursday (previous)... A daily warming trend is still on tap for next week as mostly dry conditions persist. With high pressure solidly in place, winds look to remain on the light side each day, too. Normal highs for this point in February are generally in the low to mid 70s, and we are headed for temperatures slightly above that Tuesday through Thursday. Later in the week, a mid level disturbance moves overhead, embedded in northwesterly flow. Despite this, dry conditions prevail. With little rain in sight, ongoing drought conditions are likely to worsen next week.

Poor to hazardous boating conditions further deteriorate tonight as a reinforcing cold front approaches the local waters. West winds around 15-20 kts this afternoon increase up to 25-30 kts offshore this evening and overnight. Small Craft Advisories expand to include all legs of the central Florida Atlantic waters at 6PM this evening.
Occasional gust to Gale force will be possible across the far offshore portions of the Volusia and Brevard waters late tonight into early Saturday morning. Winds shift north-northwest early Saturday as the front passes, further building seas 6-9 ft across the Gulf Stream. High pressure builds across the waters Sunday allowing winds to gradually diminish throughout the day. Light offshore flow develops Monday into mid week, and seas 4-6 ft in the Gulf Stream continue to slowly diminish.

Gusty west winds and min RH values between 25-35 percent prompted a Red Flag Warning to be issued this morning and remains in effect through 6PM. A cold front passes central Florida early Saturday, reinforcing the dry airmass in place. Near Red Flag conditions are forecast west of I-95 Saturday afternoon as minRH falls between 25- 35 percent and north-northwest winds increase to around 10-15 mph.
Building high pressure will allow winds to diminish early next week, but RH should remain sensitive. No rainfall is forecast into next week, and ongoing drought conditions are likely to worsen.
