DISCUSSION
Issued at 301 AM EST Mon Mar 4 2024

Today's weather pattern today may feel reminiscent of a summer day with sea breeze interactions aiding the development of afternoon thunderstorms. Today the showers and thunderstorms will likely occur in central FL and areas south of Tampa. Though instability will be slightly weaker than yesterday, thanks to slightly warmer temperatures aloft, thunderstorms and possible small hail can't be ruled out. The extra moisture and light breeze will be a favorable set up for patchy dense fog in areas especially along the nature coast and the interior.

As we transition into Tuesday, the weather with quiet down, however rain chances will bounce back by Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Helping increase these rain chance is the cold front associated with a surface low moving across the SE. Slightly drier air moves in for the end of the week.
Temperatures will remain a bit above average however. By next weekend, another front will approach the region and this one looks to bring a cooler air mass, so don't put the jackets away just yet.

AVIATION
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 301 AM EST Mon Mar 4 2024

Potential for low clouds and fog development continues overnight tonight into tomorrow morning bringing the possibility for MVFR/IFR conditions for some areas. Ceilings and visibilities should improve by mid/late morning. Some seabreeze induced showers and thunderstorms expected to develop later in the day and drift inland.
These too, could cause brief periods of MVFR/IFR conditions.

MARINE
Issued at 301 AM EST Mon Mar 4 2024

Light east, southeast winds will shift onshore in the afternoon with seabreeze development. Some showers and isolated storms are possible, which could cause temporary hazardous marine conditions in the vicinity. More showers and possible thunderstorms are expected again, mid week as another front moves through. Winds will shift more southerly then south westerly and increase ahead of the front Wednesday.

FIRE WEATHER
Issued at 301 AM EST Mon Mar 4 2024

No fire weather concerns as a moist air mass hangs over the area.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms possible today and again Tuesday night into Wednesday. Next weekend a stronger cold front is expected to move through and bring a drier air mass in its wake.
