DISCUSSION
Issued at 149 AM EST Sun Dec 3 2023
The warm, moist airmass hanging over the region has aided in the development of low clouds and fog overnight. Foggy conditions will linger through mid morning before lifting. A line of showers, associated with a cold front will also begin to move towards the coast, and will likely impact the Nature Coast mid morning/ early afternoon. The line is expected to weaken as it moves southeast, southern areas may miss out on any rain. Once the front moves away from the area Monday cooler, drier air will begin to filter in. High temperatures through the week should remain below 80, with lows dipping into the 40s and 50s for most of the week. Thursday is expected to be the coldest with lows in the 30s-40s. 80s look to return next weekend.
AVIATION
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 149 AM EST Sun Dec 3 2023
Low ceilings and low visibilities that will continue to impact terminals into the morning hours. Once the sun comes up the fog and clouds should begin to lift, though clouds will linger through the day as a cold front approaches the area. Some showers are expected to move through, these will likely only impact northern sites like TPA, PIE, and LAL. However, if the line holds together, southern sites may also be impacted by a passing shower. S/SW winds will begin to turn more W/NW Sunday into Monday.
