DISCUSSION
Issued at 102 AM EST Thu Dec 7 2023

Very cool start today, but temperatures will warm up rather quickly under mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the 70s. Warming trend will continue over the weekend as surface high pressure slides east of Florida and return east to southeast flow develops. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday will run in the mid to upper 70s north
lower 80s central
and lower to mid 80s south.

A strong cold front will push across the region late Sunday and Sunday night with a band of showers and thunderstorms moving across west central and southwest Florida. A few storms may be strong to severe. High pressure will build over the forecast area in the wake of the cold front with much cooler drier air advecting across the area for Monday...with temperatures gradually modifying Tuesday and Wednesday.

MARINE
Issued at 102 AM EST Thu Dec 7 2023 Winds generally 15 knots or less with seas less than 3 feet through Saturday. Winds and seas will increase on Sunday ahead of a cold front...with advisory level winds likely in the wake of the cold front Sunday night and Monday.
