discussion...

an upper low over the upper great lakes tracks to labrador, canada
by late wed... Swinging a long wave trough across the eastern u.S.

And out over the atlantic. A cold front accompanying the trough moves
into northern fl later this morning and eases southward... Stalling
along the florida keys Wed evening. High pressure follows the front
and builds in along the eastern seaboard wed.

Light winds and adequate moisture will support patchy fog this
morning for central and inland central counties. A few locations
are already reporting fog... This will spread out then begin to lift
shortly after sunrise. The front comes through with limited moisture
and lift... Isolated to scattered showers will impact northern and
central counties later this morning and afternoon. As the front
moves across the southern counties it begins to lose moisture and
lift with little significant rainfall expected. Drier and cooler
air filters in later tonight and Wed - precluding any fog or
rainfall and keeping temperatures near to below normal.

For thu-mon: zonal flow aloft the southeast quarter of the nation
slides east Fri as a couple of long wave troughs traverse the
central and eastern states... With a closed deep low forming in the
first trough when it tracks across al ga fl late Fri and sat.

High pressure down the eastern seaboard slides east as a cold
front moves in... Reaching fl Fri then exiting to the atlantic by
sun. High pressure builds into the gulf region mon. The upper
trough and front will support showers and a few thunderstorms thu-
sat. The deep low tracking just north of the area Fri will
increase shower and storm coverage with a few storms becoming
strong to perhaps near severe. Conditions will be closely
monitored during the coming days. Temperatures warm to just above
normal Thu then drop to near below normal for the rest of the
period.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
