Upper level ridging remains over the central Gulf eastward to the Bahamas through the week. On the surface, a 1026 mb high pressure center over North Carolina ridges west-southwestward over the southeast U.S. and Florida. This will keep a predominant easterly flow over the forecast area through the week and into the weekend.
Moisture will increase through the latter part of the week, resulting in a increasing chances for showers and a stray storm during the late afternoon and evening on Thursday and Friday. By Saturday morning, the surface high will be located near Bermuda, continuing to ridge westward over the southeast U.S. and into the northeastern Gulf. Easterly flow will continue into the weekend with a chance of showers and a stray storm persisting. Warm temperatures around 8-10 degrees above average can be expected through the forecast period. Daytime highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s and overnight lows in the 60s.
