Discussion
Breezy to windy conditions will continue across the area today as
strong ridge centered over the mid-atlantic states remains in
place. Profiler winds at the CAPE show easterly winds around 25
knots this morning just off the surface and this will continue to
produce sustained winds up to 15 to 20 mph with frequent gusts to
25 to 30 mph likely. A lake wind advisory for these gusty
conditions is in effect for all of east central florida today. Two
primary bands of light to moderate showers are showing up on
radar this morning, just north of the CAPE and moving across areas
primarily south of sebastian inlet. As stronger onshore flow
continues, may see additional bands of showers develop into the
late morning and afternoon. However overall trend should be for
greatest potential of onshore moving showers persisting across
okeechobee county and the treasure where greatest moisture will
reside. Have therefore increased pops slightly to 50 percent
across this region, with rain chances ranging from 20-30 percent
farther north of okeechobee county and the treasure coast.

Large, long-period swells from humberto will again keep beach
conditions hazardous with dangerous rip currents and rough surf. A
high surf advisory and a high risk of rip currents remains in
effect.

Aviation MainlyVFR, with breezy to windy conditions across the
area. Spotty onshore moving showers will produce tempo ifr MVFR
conditions, with best potential for this activity into the
afternoon lingering from kvrb-ksua. Easterly winds around 15-20
knots with gusts around 22-25 knots expected across east central
florida terminals today.

Marine Solid small craft advisory conditions continue as large,
long-period swells from humberto persist across the waters, with
fresh to strong easterly winds between 20 and 25 knots. Seas
continue to run 9 to 11 feet nearshore and up to 10 to 12 ft
offshore.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
