Discussion
For the 18 00z TAF issuance.

Aviation
A few showers will still be possible through about 18 01z, then
any convection that has develop will likely dissipate with the
loss of daytime heating.VFR conditions are then expected for the
remainder of the night. Southerly winds will continue to bring in
abundant gulf moisture on Sunday, and with a relative weakness
aloft, daytime heating should initiate scattered showers and
thunderstorms as earlier as just after sunrise, with the majority
of the activity occurring after 18 17z.

another hot and humid summer day ongoing this afternoon. Radar
showing plenty of scattered convection around the region, and this
will likely continue to be the case as we move into the evening
hours. Following sunset and loss of heating, activity should begin
to subside fairly quickly, leading to yet another warm and muggy
overnight period.

The overall weather pattern for the next several days appears to
be fairly persistent. Shortwave energy will continue to rotate
over into the region as the upper level ridge regains some
amplitude and fluctuates around the southern plains. In
combination with high pwats, this will yield an elevated diurnal
cycle with isolated thundershowers in the morning becoming
scattered to numerous by the afternoon. In addition, the
combination of heat and humidity will continue to lead to heat
index values rising above 100 almost daily. Heat index values have
been flirting with advisory criteria in the NW portion of the cwa
this afternoon, and thinking this will be the case the next couple
of days. Later forecast packages will continue to monitor this to
see if a heat advisory may be warranted.

For the longer term, there still is some uncertainty in the finer
details of the forecast, but overall a pattern of elevated diurnal
convection, and hot humid days seems to persist.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
