New UPDATE, AVIATION
KEY MESSAGES
-Areas of dense fog will be possible again early this morning generally along and south of the I-10 corridor.
-Consistent southerly winds around high pressure over the southeastern U.S. will maintain a warm, tropical airmass over the region through the week with afternoon highs approaching records in some spots.
-A dry cold front is expected to move through the region Friday night bringing temperatures closer to seasonal normals this weekend.

Somewhat lower dewpoints have filtered in behind a weak boundary.
This has allowed fog to mix out earlier, however a mixture and fog and smoke may still linger in Jefferson and portions of Orange county, therefore the fog adv will continue there for a few more hours.

Visibilities are improving area wide, however fog is again anticipated early Wednesday with LIFR vis possible along the I-10 corridor. Light NE winds will quickly become east then southeast this morning.

A brief period of light northeasterly winds will develop this morning in the wake of a weak frontal passage which will lower dewpoints into the mid to upper 40s across central Louisiana this morning. Winds will turn back out of the south this afternoon with dewpoints rebounding quickly back into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Steady light southerly winds will prevail through the rest of the week along with abnormally warm temperatures and no appreciable precipitation chances. Ongoing drought conditions will continue to intensify.
