New UPDATE, AVIATION, MARINE

UPDATE
Issued at 854 AM EDT Wed Jun 26 2024

High pressure continues to ridge south of Florida keeping a predominant light westerly flow across the region. This is promoting isolated showers and storms to develop over the eastern gulf waters and move slowly eastward over the coastal counties this morning.
These showers and storms will spread farther inland during the afternoon and evening hours and will be slow moving and may cause some localized flooding in heavier downpours. Max temps will top out in the low to mid 90's with heat indices reaching 100-105 degrees.
No changes needed to current forecast.

AVIATION
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 854 AM EDT Wed Jun 26 2024

VFR conditions will prevail outside of thunderstorms. Light westerly winds around 5-10 knots will persist through the period. Will hold VCTS to cover thunderstorms today through 18Z for PIE/TPA/SRQ and 21Z for LAL/PGD/FMY/RSW. Storms that do develop will be slow moving.

MARINE
Issued at 854 AM EDT Wed Jun 26 2024

A light pressure gradient remains over the eastern Gulf of Mexico for the next few days. This is producing a light onshore flow with winds 10 knots or less and seas 2 feet or less through the end of the week. Daily showers and storms will be possible each day through the period.
