New DISCUSSION, AVIATION, MARINE, FIRE WEATHER

DISCUSSION
Issued at 313 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

A benign weather pattern will set up over the area as upper level troughing has moved off the eastern seaboard allowing for a quasi- zonal pattern to set up over Florida. On the surface, broad high pressure over the mid-Atlantic states ridges southwestward over Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico. This will keep rain-free conditions and near seasonal temperatures over the area through mid- week. Daytime highs today will top out in the low to mid 80's and overnight lows in the mid 50's to low 60's. The high pressure center moves east of Florida by Wednesday allowing for a warming trend to set up over the state. Above average temperatures and rain-free conditions expected from mid-week through the weekend. By Thursday and into the weekend, daytime highs will top out in the mid 80's along the coast and low 90's over the interior. Overnight lows will drop only into the 60's for the latter part of the week and into the weekend.

AVIATION
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 313 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

Prevailing VFR conditions with winds less than 10 knots expected through the forecast period.

MARINE
Issued at 313 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

High pressure builds in over the area and will dominate the weather with rain-free conditions through the week and into the weekend.
Winds will remain 15 knots or less and abating seas expected to continue making for pleasant boating conditions through the week.

FIRE WEATHER
Issued at 313 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

High pressure builds in over the area and will produce rain-free conditions with drier air over the next few days. Some critical RH values will persist starting this afternoon and continuing through the end of the week, but lighter winds will preclude the need for any Red Flag Warnings.
