Marine Weather and Tide Forecast for Manasota Key, FL

It has been a quiet afternoon and evening as far as rain across the area with most of the area staying rain-free. Radar is showing a few very light showers over Highlands County and the latest HRRR guidance has these showers holding together as they move westward through southwest Florida over the next few hours. Breezy northeast winds around 10-15 knots with gusts as high as 25 knots will continue overnight and on Wednesday. This will keep any shower activity moving pretty quickly with no other impacts expected. Made some minor tweaks to POPs for the next 6 hours, otherwise forecast is tracking fine for now.

Gusty northeast winds around 10-15 knots with higher gusts around 25 knots will continue to be the main aviation concern through late Wednesday evening. VFR conditions with BKN clouds around 050 will prevail through the period. Rain chances remain on the low side, but a few isolated showers could move across the southern sites over the next few hours between 02-05Z and then again after 18Z on Wednesday afternoon for all sites.

Hazardous marine conditions continue through Wednesday night. Winds will begin to diminish slightly on Thursday but are expected to remain elevated through the end of the week. Winds should finally begin to decrease to below cautionary levels over the weekend.
