DISCUSSION
Tonight-Sat...High clouds encroaching from the west this evening and overnight. Dry conditions for most overnight, but may see isolated "low-topped" shower activity across the local coastal waters with a few of these showers moving onto the Treasure Coast in the SERLY steering flow. Some of this activity may expand northward toward the Cape during the day Sat as low-level flow veers from southeasterly to more southerly. Models hinting at some low (stratus) cloud and patchy fog development overnight, especially inland. Will monitor in the event this needs to be expanded closer towards the coast.
Overnight lows continue mild in the 60s areawide. Afternoon highs Sat well above climo in the L-M80s.
MARINE
Overnight-Sat...While seas did build to 6 ft offshore earlier today, they are forecast to subside to 3-5 ft tonight, and further to 3-4 ft on Sat. SERLY winds 5-10 kts near shore and 10-15 kts offshore veering a bit more southerly on Sat. Mainly isolated to widely scattered shower activity is forecast.
AVIATION
High clouds increase from the west tonight into Sat.
Generally VFR into Sat, but models suggest some MVFR/IFR and perhaps some local LIFR CIGs overnight into Sat morning, especially over the interior. Some patchy fog is also not out of the question. Improving conditions thru mid to late morning. Light SE winds tonight becoming more S/SSW on Sat. Some ISOLD showers possible overnight along the Treasure Coast possibly expanding further north toward the Cape on Sat.
HYDROLOGY
The Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to remain within Minor Flood Stage through at least the middle of next week, while very slowly declining. The Saint Johns River Above Lake Harney is forecast to very slowly fall out of Action Stage this weekend.
