UPDATE
Issued at 1102 AM EST Fri Dec 1 2023
Low and mid-level cumulus are beginning to develop near and east of Interstate 95 this morning, as showers continue just offshore of Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. Temperatures are climbing into the upper 70s to low 80s as return flow drives more moisture northward across the area. Highs are still forecast to top out in the low to mid 80s, with the warmest spots across the Okeechobee and Treasure Coast region. Winds will remain at or below 10 mph for most locations, though gusts to around 15 mph will be possible along the coast.
Reports from area beaches this morning led to an upgrade of the rip current risk to a Moderate Risk. If venturing to the beach, remember to always swim near a lifeguard, and never swim alone!
MARINE
Issued at 1102 AM EST Fri Dec 1 2023
Now-Tonight...Buoy 41009 is reporting seas around 6 feet with winds just under 15 kt. 41114 is closer to 5 feet with winds at 41068 around 12-14 kt. Slightly higher seas near the Treasure Coast and over the offshore Gulf Stream waters mean small craft should exercise caution in these marine legs. Shower activity will remain possible, especially over the Gulf Stream waters.
