DISCUSSION
Issued at 259 AM EST Wed Nov 29 2023
Cooler and drier high pressure will continue to build into the area today, with clouds gradually clearing the southern half of the area. Temperatures have dipped into the 30s across the Nature Coast where the clouds cleared out last night. Highs today only expected to reach to around 60 north to the lower 70s south.
Another chilly night tonight/Thursday morning, with the freeze watch continued for inland Levy county, and mid to upper 30s elsewhere across the Nature Coast, and into the lower 40s to lower 50s central and south.
Conditions then moderate as the high center shifts east over the Atlantic and the next frontal system approaches from the west.
Rain chances return across the northern half of the area by Friday as the system stalls across the deep south and a series of upper shortwaves move through the flow through the weekend. Temps through the weekend will be back in the upper 70s to mid 80s, with lows generally in the 60s.
The front finally pushes through the area early next week with a few showers and storms possible with it. Temps lower a bit behind it through mid-week into the 40s and 50s for lows and in the mid 60s to lower 70s for highs as conditions clear out.
AVIATION
