New UPDATE, AVIATION
UPDATE
Early evening water vapor satellite imagery is showing a rather dry airmass spreading south across the Florida Peninsula, with the last few showers exiting southwest Florida. With this drier air mass, Tuesday looks on track to be rain free across the forecast area. The only other weather impact of note is some haze spreading west across the Florida Peninsula, likely caused by smoke from Canadian wildfires being pulled across the western Atlantic around the edge of the ridge to the north of the state. With a similar wind pattern on Tuesday, another round of haze will be possible.
A few minor adjustments were made to the rain chances over southwest Florida for this evening. No other changes are planned for the evening update.
AVIATION
(00Z TAFS)
The last few showers lingering around KRSW and KFMY should clear out over the next couple of hours. The only other threat to VFR conditions overnight will be some haze building west across the Florida Peninsula, which is causing some MVFR and spotty IFR visibilities. Otherwise, drier air on Tuesday will keep rain chances low.
