KEY MESSAGES
Issued at 1232 PM CDT Thu Mar 19 2026
- Temperatures are expected to warm by the end of this week and will remain above average through the weekend and into early next week.
- No hazards are anticipated over the next 7 days.
DISCUSSION
Issued at 1250 AM CDT Thu Mar 19 2026
It remains a temperature forecast through the middle of next week as a dry northwesterly flow pattern aloft keeps the area rain- free. Temperatures gradually warm everyday through the weekend as an upper ridge builds in from the west and surface ridge remains situated across the southeast states and northern Gulf. High temperatures today ranging from 70-75 degrees will reach the lower to middle 80s Saturday through Monday (upper 70s along the coast), about 7-13 degrees above normal. Low temperatures tonight ranging from 44-49 degrees inland, with lower 50s along the coast, will climb into the upper 50s and lower 60s over the weekend. Temperatures then cool slightly Monday night through Wednesday as the upper ridge retreats westward and the surface ridge gets shunted southward due to a surface low pressure system moving eastward across the Great Lakes region. A Low Risk of rip currents continues through the week and into the upcoming weekend.
