KEY MESSAGE 1...
Unseasonably cool temperatures to start the week, with no big storm systems expected through the week.
KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION...
Upper level trough will persist over the northeast U.S. while a H5 ridge builds from the Intermountain West into the Great Lakes thru the end of the week. 1000-500mb thicknesses will remain below 530 dm throughout the week with high temperatures below normal through Friday. Low temperatures will start off below freezing tonight and remain at or below freezing each night through Friday night. Onshore flow on Wednesday will keep the coast cool with temps remaining around 40 and possibly in the upper 30s over the outer islands. Other than weak upper level systems bringing low chances for showers today, then again Wednesday into Thursday, no significant storms are expected through the week. With the exception of Tuesday, when minimum relative humidity values are expected to fall below 30 percent, minimum RH values look to remain above 35% through Friday. However, with light winds expected, fire wx concerns appear to be minimal.
AVIATION /06Z MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/
