Marine Weather and Tide Forecast for Byram, MS

Tonight through next Friday...While some fluctuation in these features will exist across the region, high pressure at both the surface and aloft will overall continue to dominate the weather across the forecast area through much of this forecast period.
This'll continue to result in quiet weather across the CWA through the majority of the period. Unfortunately, high temperatures will gradually warm a few degrees each day across the area, but through mid-week the drier airmass currently over the region will remain present under easterly flow. Despite the warming afternoon high temperatures, this dry air will allow for pleasant overnight lows as they generally range from the upper 50s to middle 60s through Tuesday night.

During the mid and latter portions of the week, moisture will subtly begin increasing again across the region as southerly flow at the surface and aloft returns. In turn, rain chances will also begin increasing each afternoon Wednesday through Friday as the aforementioned high aloft steadily slides east of the Lower Mississippi River Valley through week's end. Increased troughing to the west across the southern plains states could yield a cold front that may try to shift east into the forecast area sometime next weekend. This would allow rain chances to persist across the CWA during that time. /19/

With some high clouds moving east southeast across the region this afternoon, VFR flight categories will prevail at area TAF sites during this 18Z forecast period. Winds this afternoon will become northerly between 5-8 knots, and will become calm through the evening and overnight hours. /19/
